Garden 49
We Grow Food on Site
Garden 49 is the year-round growing operation of the Red Deer Food Bank, producing fresh, nutritious food for our clients while creating a more sustainable way to support our community.
Our growing operation includes a geodesic dome, hydroponic sea cans, microgreen production, a mushroom farm and our co-op farm. Together, these spaces allow us to provide hundreds of heads of fresh lettuce, bags of microgreens and a variety of other locally grown produce to our Food Bank pantry each week.
Garden 49 also sells a portion of what we grow to local businesses and community members. Revenue from these sales helps support our growing operations and allows us to continue providing fresh produce to Food Bank clients at no cost.
When you purchase from Garden 49, you're helping us grow more, give more and make fresh food available to more people in our community.
