Kitchen 49 and Garden 49 are the social enterprise of the Red Deer Food Bank, bringing together food, agriculture and community to help support the work of the Food Bank.

From catering and food trucks to hands-on culinary classes, locally grown produce and house-made spices, everything we do helps create sustainable revenue while providing quality food and memorable experiences for our community.

Garden 49

Garden 49 helps the Red Deer Food Bank provide fresh, nutritious produce to our clients year-round while creating a sustainable source of revenue to support our programs.

Using our greenhouse and hydroponic growing systems, we produce fresh vegetables for both our Food Bank clients and the local community. Produce sold through Garden 49 helps offset growing costs and generates funds that allow us to provide even more fresh food to those who need it.
